THE CHALLENGE:

This year’s Singapore Night Festival carries the theme ‘Island Nights’, with the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) presenting five events as part of the programme. Each event features its own theme and narrative, and I was tasked with developing an overarching brand identity and key visual to unify them as part of promotional efforts.

THE SOLUTION:

In line with this year’s Singapore Night Festival theme, I drew on constellations as a form of maritime navigation, using the stars to extrapolate location and positioning — akin to sailors orientating themselves across the vast ocean.​ The use of lines, stars, and neon colours is implemented in the key visual to create a focal point while orienting visitors to the various event venues.

The key visuals were subsequently applied across multiple formats, including posters, floor decals and social media posts.​​
